Learn the traditional Usui method of Reiki (ray-key), a meditative practice most widely known as energy work. Many people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing. This class primarily focuses on self-Reiki, with time included for partnered practice. Reiki is often practiced using a designated pattern of hand positions, lightly placed on the body moving from the head down to the torso, along with focused attention and a calm, attentive presence.
No prior experience is needed, and no belief system is required—just curiosity and a willingness to practice.
This course introduces the concept of Universal Energy—the energy of all living things—and how it is accessed through Reiki in a grounded, approachable way. A traditional initiation ceremony, passed down through Master Takata’s lineage, will be included, during which Stacie offers Reiki to support your direct engagement with the Reiki practice.
Many Reiki classes combine healing theory from other cultural backgrounds. A unique feature of this class is the integration of Qigong. As a complete energy-work practice of it’s own, it is quite complimentary to the practice of Reiki. The Qigong movements introduced use simple, slow movements and breathing to help you feel more comfortable in your body and more aware of subtle sensations. Pairing Qigong with Reiki helps you relax, feel steady, and at ease—it is especially helpful for people new to energy-work practices. Qigong is an excellent way to attune your body to its natural energy flow.
Overview:
• Learn the basics and background of Reiki
• Practice Reiki for self-care and participate in partnered, and group practice
• Learn simple Qigong movements to support your Reiki practice
• Explore consent, boundaries, and ethical considerations
• Build confidence through guided practice and discussion
• Attune to Reiki through a guided, meditative ceremony
Upon completion, you will be prepared to use Reiki for personal practice and to support others, including family, friends, plants, and animals. You will receive course handouts and certification that recognizes you as a practitioner allowing you to volunteer at participating hospitals and hospice centers.
Students who complete Reiki Level 1 are eligible to continue to Reiki Level 2. Level 2 is recommended for those who wish to learn distance Reiki (absent Reiki), deepen their skills, and explore a (non-dogmatic) spiritual perspective inspired by Master Usui’s guidance, including exploring the concept of Anshin Ritsumei—living in alignment with one’s highest purpose beyond physical healing. A short, intentional break between courses is included to support regular self-practice and integration. A discounted rate is available for students who register for both levels.

Reiki Movement and Meditation: Nervous System Reset
Reiki Movement and Meditation is designed for all experience levels, including beginners with no prior Reiki experience. Together, we’ll explore a “first aid kit” of practices to help you release tension, reclaim your calm and soothe your inner world when it feels too loud. This practice blends the fluid grace of Qigong with the restorative touch of Reiki and guided meditation to help you feel connected, calm and at ease. We’ll practice in a soothing atmosphere with ambient lighting and gentle music – creating the perfect environment to unwind and nurture yourself. Whether you’re new to Reiki or looking to deepen your skills, this class provides a welcoming space for everyone.
By blending the rhythmic flow of Qigong with the restorative focus of Reiki, we target the Vagus Nerve to physically lower stress and quiet the mind. The practice includes:
- Gentle movements to release muscle tension/energetic blockages;
- Targeted techniques to tone the Vagus Nerve, lowering your heart rate and settling the breath;
- Repeated sets, moving once to learn and twice to embody.

A note on how this course evolved:
The first time I offered the Reiki Level 2 course, it consisted solely of traditional Usui Reiki Ryōhō content—the same material that is now covered in the first three sessions of this course. At that time, the price was the same as the current pre-sale rate.
After reflecting on my own Level 2 training, as well as other courses that incorporate chakra theory and cross-cultural approaches to energy work, I decided to expand the Level 2 curriculum. This led to the development of the current 12-week format.
Please know that you are receiving the full traditional Reiki training, along with the added benefit of optional cross-cultural theory and practice, Reiki practice sessions with volunteer recipients, and Q&A sessions in between. If you are primarily interested in traditional Reiki, you may choose to complete only the first three weeks and opt out of the remaining sessions. The additional material is included because it has been meaningful and supportive in the evolution of my own practice.
Overview:
This is a comprehensive 12-Week Course that includes:
✨ 6 hours of training traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho (臼井靈氣療法)
✨ 6 hours of cross-cultural energy work theory and techniques
✨ 6 1-hour distant Reiki practice sessions
✨ 6 1-hour Q&A meetings between each distance session

Reiki Level 2 is designed for students who have completed Level 1 and want to continue deepening their practice with additional techniques. Level 2 is recommended for those who wish to learn distance Reiki (absent Reiki), deepen their skills, and explore a broader (non-dogmatic) spiritual perspective inspired by Master Usui’s guidance, including exploring the concept of Anshin Ritsumei—living in alignment with one’s highest purpose, spiritual enlightenment beyond physical healing.
Level 2 is often the required certification needed for volunteering in healthcare or wellness settings, and it’s also the step many take if they want to offer Reiki more broadly in their community, including starting their own practice, as it is widely recognized as the minimum standard.
About the Addition of Cross-Cultural Energy Work
Many Reiki classes combine healing theory from other cultural backgrounds. A unique feature of this class is the integration of Qigong and Ayurvedic energy work. They are clearly delineated from traditional Reiki teachings in this class, but are complimentary to the practice. Topics from Qigong as a therapeutic system derive from traditional Chinese medicine theory. TCM energetic healing involves the 3 Dantians and meridian systems that connect the body’s organ systems. Topics from Ayurvedic energy work theory refer to chakra energy centers. We will explore the relationship between cultural energy work practices as they naturally compliment each other.
This comprehensive course includes guided practice, ample time to try out new techniques, and opportunities to ask questions and share experiences. Online practice sessions include distance Reiki with volunteer recipients. Students receive a Reiki Level 2 certificate and leave ready to use Reiki for distance energy work and to participate in community or professional settings.
